The company operates two fully computerised water floatation graders for apples and pears. These graders are of a very advanced specification and are equipped with two sets of computer controlled cameras, one which grades the fruit by length and diameter and the other by colour. Even the most delicate apples can be graded, which will not only increases production but also ensures consistent quality.
Further investment has been made by the provision of specialised bagging and netting equipment to ensure a better uniformity of packing standards.
Recent new building works and refurbishment have also improved our ability to deal quickly and efficiently with loading and unloading in our Goods-in/Despatch Department and adjacent chilled storage areas.
Full quality control/assurance reports, including residue testing, grading, packing, despatch QC checks and shelf-life testing are conducted and available at all times for customers’ inspection.
The packhouse is capable of handling many different sizes and varieties of fruit, with pre-packing and labelling carried out to customers’ specifications.
Our storage areas are continually monitored and computer controlled, which enables us to market many varieties of fruit throughout the year.
Our client base includes multi-national fruit marketing companies, importers and marketers who require reliable, flexible production and storage facilities. We have also worked closely with insurance companies where re-packing has been required on an urgent basis.
We have earned a reputation within the industry for being able to adapt at short notice and with a good degree of efficiency to effect individual clients’ requirements. We believe we have achieved this by maintaining a high quality management team, coupled with well-trained packhouse staff.
